We’re not surrounded by mountains or coconut trees just yet. Our current adventure? Organizing gear, managing savings, selling almost everything we own, and figuring out how to build a website and a social media presence— all while creating content and pretending we know what we’re doing.

The dream?

Big careers, high incomes, long working days, big houses, fancy cars, dogs, and kids?

Absolutely not.

Well… except maybe the part about the high income — that would be nice. And yes, a dog someday, definitely.

Our dream is to travel the world at our own pace, exploring all the places we’ve always dreamed of. This isn’t just a long holiday; it’s the lifestyle we want to build. We’re not millionaires (far from it), so along the way, we plan to work in different countries, take on new experiences, and who knows, maybe one day Chasing Endless Horizons will even earn us a dollar or two.

Through Chasing Endless Horizons, our dream is to inspire others to chase their own version of endless horizons. It doesn’t have to look like ours, we actually kind of hope it doesn’t! Feel free to write what your endless horizon dream is in the comment section below. Maybe it’s asking out that person you’ve been thinking about for months, booking that trip to Thailand you have always dreamt of, or finally going to visit your local attractions you have always told yourself you could always do.

Whatever it might be, we hope to help inspire some of you to go do the things that make you feel good and happy. And whatever it might be, we’d very much like to hear about it. We’re certain you have horizons we’ll get inspired by.

The Turning Point

We’ve always known that we wouldn’t want to stay in Denmark forever, but the turning point that quietly, almost without us realizing it, sparked what would later become Chasing Endless Horizons happened on a cozy October evening. With a glass of red wine in hand, we were exploring YouTube when we stumbled upon our first Pacific Crest Trail thru-hiking documentary — and we just had to watch it. That moment ignited something inside us, and we quickly agreed that we had to give the PCT an honest try one day. That day is approaching fast, as we prepare to embark on the adventure in April 2026. The decision to hike the Pacific Crest Trail opened our minds to the possibility of creating a website and blog along with social media where we could both share pictures and videos from our travels as well as sharing our honest opinions and emotions with everyone who wanted to read about it.

Deciding to hike the Pacific Crest Trail in 2026 became our turning point, it became the decision that set everything in motion. For us, it’s not just a hike; it’s the symbolic start of a life lived differently.

Why Chasing Endless Horizons?

Home is where we are. We believe our best selves show up when we’re outside, when we’re curious, when we’re exploring. Whether that’s hiking, diving, capturing wildlife, meeting new people, or just watching a sunset in a totally new place. So, selecting a name for our brand and projects wasn’t an easy decision. We spent countless hours and nights coming up with so many different names before we finally autonomously wended up on the same name. It was like it was meant to be that specific name.

For us Chasing Endless Horizons as a whole is what we want to do. Never stop chasing new experiences, new adventures and new places. Individually there is a slightly longer meaning behind each word in CEH.

Chasing is our drive to explore — the restless curiosity that pushes us toward what truly excites us. It’s the urge to keep moving, to meet new people, to try new things, and to learn from every experience the world offers. For us, it’s about growth, both individually and as a couple. It’s about never standing still when there’s still more out there to discover.

Endless captures our belief that life’s opportunities have no limit. We’ll never see it all, and our list of dreams will probably only grow longer. But that’s the beauty of it — knowing there will always be more to experience, more to feel, and more to learn, for as long as we keep exploring.

Horizons remind us that every ending brings a new beginning. It’s where the sun sets — and where it rises again. For us, it symbolizes freedom, discovery, and the thrilling uncertainty of what’s waiting just beyond the next ridge, the next turn, the next sunrise. It’s a little unknown, a little wild, and completely worth chasing.

We created CEH not just to travel—but to live with purpose, courage and freedom, and to share the ride.

Preparing for the Journey

Preparing for this journey isn’t all funs and giggles. It takes a lot of preparation and planning, and we enjoy every part of it.  At the time of writing this blog post, we have just gotten the final ‘permission’ to hike the PCT with the thru-hiking permission from PCTA. This means we are also finalizing the decisions on what gear and clothes to bring and what to sell.

Alongside the practical preparations, we’re also investing time in educating ourselves, writing blog posts, setting up social media channels, and laying the groundwork for the brand identity of Chasing Endless Horizons. It’s a process of building a foundation that reflects who we are, what we value, and the story we want to share with the world.

All of this is happening while we’re still spending quality time with friends and family, helping them and ourselves adjust to the idea of living a life on the move.

Every small step from researching gear to crafting content brings us closer to the life we’ve always dreamed of.

Looking Toward Those Endless Horizons

We haven’t left yet, but every day, we’re getting closer. Chasing Endless Horizons is no longer just an idea; it’s becoming our reality. A reality that soon starts for real. In reality we would argue that CEH is us now being able to put a label on, what we have been during part time ever since we met each other. Now we are simply moving it into full time. Living life to the fullest on full-time.

Why now you might ask? Because life is happening. Because we’ve decided “someday” doesn’t cut it anymore. Because the only thing standing between us and the life we really want is the steps we dare to take right now.

We are kicking the adventure off with a big bang, as we depart for Costa Rica on December 31, 2025 and from there we will slow down. We will be enjoying the long Caribbean beaches, majestic rainforest and wild animals before heading to United States for the trail of our dreams – Pacific Crest Trail.
