About Us

Here's your chance to get to know the two people behind Chasing Endless Horizons. We hope you want to get to know us better!

Hi, we are Ditte & Benjamin!

Since we met in 2021, we have visited a variety of countries and destinations together. As of 2025 we have been on 22 trips, across 4 continents and 19 different countries – with many more to come. But that is just what we’ve done together. We have both traveled and explored the world separately, before we knew each other. This both with family, friends but also solo traveling.

Benjamin flew solo to Australia on a Working Holiday Visa for about 8 months, where he worked at skydive dropzones while living in a town literally called Rainbow Beach. He also volunteered at a deserted sand-Island, called Fraser Island, before driving and hiking around discovering the country with new friends. Ditte quite spontaneously booked a solo trip to Thailand and un-planned ended up living there in just about 6 months. Here she spent her time on Koh Phangan and Koh Tao, where she cultivated meditation, new friendships, diving, hiking and just living a simpler life, all the while finding a somewhat creative solution to continue studying (to become a psychologist in Denmark) from abroad.

The skydiving student who fell for the instructor – going all in

Our story follows one of the classics. Ditte had just taken a solo skydiving course and went to a skydiving club in Denmark called West Jump for her second solo jump on the June 8, 2021. As destiny would it, Benjamin, who at the time was both an instructor and Tandem Master with more than 1300+ jumps in total, was her instructor that day. The student instantly fell for the instructor. Although what made the sparks fly was not skydiving. It was the 1,5 hour car drive home to the town (Aarhus) we both happened to live in that did it. Here we were, two absolute strangers, talking like we had known each other forever while bonding about our travels, adventures, worldview, dreams and fun stories.

Not even a week went by, and we were officially a couple and even started living together. Fast forward, and on August 10, 2024 we got married and had the most fun tropical themed wedding, with blow up pineapples and flamingos, sandals, hawaii shirts, cheap beer and caribbean beach foto-wall. Yes, you guessed right, we couldn’t afford inviting people to a real tropical wedding, so we decided to bring it to Denmark instead.

A saying that we both frequently used before meeting each other, which probably a bit obviously have followed into our marriage is:

“What’s the worst that can happen?”

Whether that refers to going on each our solo trips before meeting, moving in together with only knowing each other for a little week, planning to attempt a 4.265 km/2.650 miles thru-hike – or as the case is right now – quitting (jobs, apartment, social and financial security) and selling everything (car, furnitures and belongings), to go all in on our dream of Chasing Endless Horizons! Definitely exciting and daunting all at once.

A little more about who we are – living life to the fullest

We both grew up in Denmark, actually not that far from each other on the island Fyn. As we are writing this, Benjamin just turned 29 and Ditte is still 28 years old in yet a few months. In general people describe us as caring, chill, helpful, open-minded, emphatic, and easy-going. Always smiling, being authentic and great fun to be around. We don’t take ourselves too seriously, and we never shy away from an opportunity to do or learn something new and cool. At home by friends, co-workers, acquaintances, and families we are known as “the traveling couple”. People will always – literally every time – ask us where we’ve been and what the next plan is.

Are you getting curious about where, we highly recommend giving our Destinations page a visit – might want to hide your wallet beforehand, so you don’t end up having booked a new trip all of a sudden (that advice is based on experience, even though the best trips in our opinion often are those more spontaneously booked). So, no surprise that we enjoy getting out there and exploring the world. CEH also kinda spoils it though.

Besides our optimistic way of thinking and living life, we are extremely driving by being “amazed” by nature, wildlife and culture (it honestly often doesn’t take much to amaze us – just checking out photos from our Photography Portfolio or watching some of our Video Content might amaze you a bit as well, it’ll still get us). Other than that we love seeking personally and physically challenges, meeting new people or hanging out with known ones to enjoy a sundowner, meaningful conversations and good laughs with, learning about different cultures, trying out new things and activities both in the sky, on land and below water – and forever being silly and having the best fun wherever we are!

Although it doesn’t have any higher status for us, we are both pretty skilled in our more official professions. Ditte has a master’s degree as Cand.Psych, better known as an authorized psychologist. She has always had a deep curiosity for people and lust to help improve the lives of others – which she fortunately has a natural gift for. Fun fact: her master thesis was about hiking, why people hike and what they psychologically accomplish from it. Benjamin has a degree in – take a deep breath – Marketing Management with an AP in International Sales and Marketing. Yup, there is for some reason no abbreviation for that title. Besides that he is a primarily self-taught wizard at SEO, SoMe, website building, content creation and way more like it. Amazing skillset to have when trying to make it with the whole digital nomad lifestyle!

Luckily we can make use of both our professional skills even though we probably won’t be using them as intended when we started our studies back in the day. That was of course already pretty clear when we graduated, Benjamin in January and Ditte in June, 2024. To the sharp reader, yes, the majority of our travels have been while studying. And no, unfortunately no rich families or friends around us to contribute financially. We have both always had a high work ethic. So making all we wanted happen, meant having multiple jobs at the same time and sometimes working 65+ hours a week next to still attending our full-time studies (we didn’t sleep much). Sometimes that resulted in us having to schedule a few days a month, where we could spend time together WHILE STILL LIVING TOGETHER. Getting what you want just doesn’t come without hard work, sacrifices and tough prioritizing. Honest to say, we take pride in working our a** off to make things happen!

Probably the thing we have most in common and that shows in everything we do, is that living life to the fullest TODAY and EVERYDAY is of the utmost importance to us. We are both fully aware that as far as we know, we only have this one life, and hardcore life lessons have taught us that we absolutely should not take that one life for granted. Well, but you can’t really say that we are, can you? We consciously choose to live life with intention, helping each other grow as individuals and as a team, while getting the best of it – and hopefully inspire others to the same. Just as others have inspired us. Along the way we will, among loads of other blog posts with different focuses, be writing posts about Our Personal Experiences, and we truly hope you find them useful or at least enjoy reading them.

Why CEH makes so much sense – chasing our dream

To us home is where we are. We cherish and find our best selves while being outdoors, experiencing the wonders of the magnificent world we find ourselves in. No matter where we are, we are always trying to find a way to either hike, run, watch sunrise and sunsets, snorkel, dive, climb mountains, take a stroll or capture the beauty of nature and wildlife through photography or video content. All of that just the two of us, with friends, family or friends to become. Meeting new people and engaging socially with both locals and fellow travelers is also one of our absolute favorite things about our way of living life. Oh well, not forgetting to mention how much we love storytelling and sharing our experiences with others. Hence, another great reason for making CEH happen! No clue who said this, or if anyone important ever even did (maybe we just did?), but the meaning stays the same:

“Dream so big that people think you are crazy!”

Through Chasing Endless Horizons, we aspire to share all our real, raw and breathtaking moments from our travels and way of life with as many as possible. We are aiming to inspire others with our insatiable lust for life, nature and everything that entails. Capturing and showing the beauty of the world, the amazing freedom and parts of a life without limits, as well as the challenges our chosen path and life in itself endures; when choosing to risk everything, to give everything, to chase our dream.

Do you have any questions that could be more general, there is a possibility you are not the only one. So it might be helpful to check out our FAQ – we update it continuously when needed.

We’d Love To Hear From You & Connect

It sounds so cheesy but that doesn’t make it less true – we are nothing without you. Maybe the biggest pillar of CEH is sharing our way of life with you, and that entails connecting with you. So no matter the reason why, never shy away from reaching out!
