Following two awesome days with diving (read more about them in our previous two posts!), we spent the following days relaxing, walking and exploring some more of the local area.
Prior to leaving Denmark, we were inspired to get ourselves a drone, a DJI Neo 2. We haven’t taken it for a flight yet (mainly due to restrictions due to airport in Puerto Jiménez), so we knew we had to take it for a spin while we were in Drake Bay with all the beautiful bays and beaches close by. And damn it was some beautiful flights! Can’t wait to take it up for more flights in the following months.
At the place we were staying, we met the sweetest local guide, whom were originally from Puerto Jiménez, but lived in Drake Bay due to there being more work. He was very kind and told os a bit about his family and how he ‘had to’ move to Drake in order to make enough money for him and his family. Leaving his wife and kids for most of the time in order to make money. It kinda put things into perspective for us… Us traveling the world, while local people having a hard time making ends meet. We know it’s how the world is and this wasn’t even the worst situation, but doesn’t change the fact, that that is still crazy to think about.
