Day 26-27: First Impressions of Drake Bay

DAY 26 / Costa Rica

Holy crap it is different from Puerto Jimenez. Immediately we missed Puerto Jimenez and the more Costa Rican and local vibe. Drake Bay is very touristy and everything is written in English – we were not impressed. 

Bumpy mini bus ride from Jimenez took about 2,5 hours and we were both surprised of how good that trip went. Nice ‘surprise’ as we had expected different. 

Although Drake was different, we got our heads together and just made sure to get the most out of it while being there. We had already book 2*2 scuba dives and besides that we knew we had a local trail to check out as well as a lot of different beaches – oh and yeah we still had to get in our 15.000 steps a day which we have been doing since day 1! 

So not the best first impression but we were ready to see what Drake Bay could do.

Was our thoughts when we finally arrived at Treevana in Cocles. We met the owners, Lori and Ricky, at a restaurant on the one real road there is here — their treat. Super nice people, and we got an amazing first impression of them (and hopefully the same the other way...
